Emily Dickinson’s poem “Tell all the Truth, but tell it slant–” depicts humanity’s inclination in which it receives truth. In the first line of the poem, Dickinson writes to tell of truth, but don’t tell it straightforward. In the second line she states that if truth is presented in a round about way, there will be success. put two hatchets on my chest,
and tell my homies I did my best.
